Summer Kitchen

What is a Summer Kitchen?

In the early 1900's it was common to build a small building that was detached from the house. These were called “summer kitchens”. Their main purpose was to keep the house cool during the hot summer months. They were used for cooking, bathing, and laundry.

What are the benefits of a summer kitchen?

Some of the benefits are lower energy bills, keep smells outside, adds value to your home, save money on restaurant meals, improve food taste & waistlines, extend living and entertaining space and makes cooking easier.

How long does summer kitchen last?

A summer or outdoor kitchen is an investment that will last you 10 or more years, as long as you maintain the space and clean your appliances consistently. You can have great barbecues, enjoy parties and socials with friends and family, or cook for yourself in the outdoors.
